Bold stripes and over-scaled wallpaper patterns are a quick-and-easy way to create a dramatic statement and add sophistication to any room. Traditional designs are back, with rich, updated colors and open, oversized designs that are more glamorous than ever.

Damask patterns with tonal, simplified colors are one way to provide instant elegance and interesting background design. Botanicals and paisleys are also making a comeback. Today's versions are large and loose free-flowing designs - not the tight multi-color patterns of yesteryear.

You might even want to try your hand at one of the new painting techniques. The beauty of painting is you can always paint over it!
