June 29 – July 10: Faerie Tale Workshop. Playhouse in the Park. Classes are for children ages 7 to 14. (Performance will take place on July 11.) Class will meet Monday through Friday for two weeks from 9-11 a.m. Space is limited. For more information and to reserve a place, please call Danny Mollise at 251-602-0630 or visit www.playhouseinthepark.org.

July:      Free Book @ Barnes & Noble in Mobile. Open to students in grades 1-6. Come and get a book journal from the Mobile Barnes & Noble. Read any 8 books of your choosing and complete the journal – bring the journal back to Barnes & Noble and receive a coupon for a FREE book from our children’s department. For more information, contact Carron at 450-4439.

July 3: FAIRHOPE FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK. 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Downtown Fairhope. Enjoy an artsy and fun-filled night with an evening of exhibit openings, guest artists and live entertainment throughout downtown Fairhope. Refreshments will be provided at participating galleries and downtown businesses and trolley transportation is also available. For more information please call 928-2228 or visit www.easternshoreartcenter.com.

July 11:    Arts In Action. 10:00am – 4:00pm Daphne United Methodist Church Community Life Center in Daphne. Event will host indoor arts and crafts show, live music, children’s art classes and outdoor activities, a silent auction, bake sales and food booth. Proceeds will benefit the DUMC missions. For more information, please call 626-2287.
